NSDL has recently provided SMS facility for status of each and every Quarterly TDS/TCS return processed by NSDL to those whose Mobile Number are properly entered in TDS/TCS return. The below mentioned status will be given by NSDL.
- Accepted : This status is provided if the statement is accepted by TIN.
- Rejected : This status is provided if the statement is rejected by TIN
- Partially accepted : This status is provided if the statement is partially accepted by TIN.

No doubt, that the SMS idea arranged by NSDL is excellent. But it will be more excellent if NSDL provides SMS for rejected PAN numbers or Not Available PAN numbers etc, there is no need to provide Challan Status due to already checked in NSDL RPU with the help of .csi file.
