The Controller General of Defence Accounts, New Delhi, has referred to the question of increase in quantum of various advances (viz. Bi-Cycle Advance, Warm Clothing Advance, Festival Advance and Natural Calamity Advance) admissible to the Government servants (namely DAD personnel) on implementation of Sixth CPC recommendations In relation to increase of Dearness Allowance by 50%. The CG (DA) has reiterated Para 4 of Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, OM No.12(1)/E.II(A)/2008 dated 7.10.2008 which stipulates that the rates of these advances shall be automatically increased by 25% every time the dearness allowance payable on revised pay bands increases by 50%.

Sub: Increase in quantum of various advances admissible to the Government servants on implementation of Sixth CPC recommendations in relation to increase of Dearness Allowance by 50%.
A number of telephonic references have been received from PCsDA/CsDA regarding increase in quantum of various advances (viz. Bi-Cycle Advance, Warm Clothing Advance, Festival Advance and Natural Calamity Advance) admissible to the Government servants (namely DAD personnel) on implementation of Sixth CPC recommendations In relation to increase of Dearness Allowance by 50%.
2. In this context, your attention is invited to Para 4 of Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, OM No.12(1)/E.II(A)/2008 dated 7.10.2008 (copy enclosed), which stipulates that the rates of these advances shall be automatically increased by 25% every time the dearness allowance payable on revised pay bands increases by 50%.
3. In view of the above, It is requested to take action accordingly.
