Latest News, Dearness Allowance (D.A.) increased 7% by Central Government

Dearness Allowance July, 2011

        Central Government has announced 7% Dearness Allowance (D.A.) to their employees.  This increase will be applicable w.e.f. 01-07-2011 (July,2011).  Now, total/current  D.A. rate is 58% after increase of 7%.  In General D.A. increase in twice in a a year on 1st  January and  1st July of the year. 

         The total financial implication on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief would be Rs. 7228.76 crore per annum and Rs. 4819.2 crore in the current Financial Year.
